This village, like many others in Western Georgia, was filled with tea
plantations during the Soviet times. Zhoneti has one big exception though
- many of the plantations are still there and well taken care of.
Even though the village is surrounded by stone mines that make this village look almost like a desert from the distance, it holds a great oasis of tea gardens and a home for lovely people.
