Being a regular e-shop, selling single packages of tea, would probably be easier, but we've chosen another road. When we began rehabilitating abandoned tea plantations in Georgia back in 2017, our goal was to create the most transparent tea farm out there - inviting you behind the scenes of field works and production, sharing glimpses of life in Georgia and sharing our joys and struggles as tea farmers. We hope that by being a part of the Renegade Community you feel that Renegade Tea Estate is your farm too, as you know where, how and by whom your tea has been grown and processed.

While ordering something online and receiving the package soon after is the common norm nowadays, we feel that this approach creates too much production surplus and waste and is not sustainable for our farm. Instead, we produce tea according to what our community has ordered before the harvesting season. More than 2000 families have adopted their own tea garden at our estates. Those people have decided to be together with us on this journey, hoping for good weather and a nice harvest as the season starts and wait for their yearly tea supply to arrive each autumn, after the production season. We don't sell them our tea; we grow their tea for them.
1. Choose how much tea your family will drink in a year. The minimum amount is 600g (4x150g)
and it corresponds to a 20 square meter tea garden
2. Choose which teas you would like to receive. We offer 23 different teas - white, green, oolong, black and yellow tea.
3. Choose a payment plan - you can pay monthly or annually.
4. Sit back and wait for the tea leaves to grow! You will receive your teas each year in November, after the production season. Your first tea-licious package will arrive in November 2027.

The teas from your garden will be sent each autumn, in November. Adoptions made before the 15th of May 2027 will receive tea in November 2027. Adoptions made after that will receive teas in November 2028.
You will receive the quantity you have selected when making your adoption. The minimum size of a tea garden is 20 square meters and it corresponds to 600 g of tea (4x150g). Each additional 150 g of tea adds 5 square meters to your garden. 525 g grams in case one of the teas is white tea ( 3x150g + 1x75g).

The trial adoption is for one year and will be cancelled automatically. Adoptions with monthly and annual payments are renewed automatically for the next season unless you cancel it. An adoption is renewed on the same day you made the original adoption - if you made the original adoption on 10th of December, it will also renew on the 10th of December next year.
In case of a yearly payment plan, you can cancel the adoption at any time. If you have already been charged for the next season, the payments made will not be refunded, and the adoption will be cancelled after the tea has been delivered.
In case of a monthly payment plan, you can cancel the adoption after the first 12 months. Already made payments will not be refunded. For example, if you cancel at 15 months, you will receive tea for the paid 12 months; the additional 3 months of payment will not be refunded.
You can see your adoption details when you log in to your account. You will also receive a link with the adoption confirmation.
You will be charged on the 15th of every month.
You will be charged on the same day every year as you made your original order.
You do not need to pay for customs or make any import declarations in the EU countries. We ship everything from Estonia and therefore all the customs procedures have been done already before by us.
If you live in a country outside the EU, then you need to make an import declaration and also pay the relevant taxes that your country’s legislation requires.
Yes, you can edit your shipping and billing addresses from your account when you log in.
We are a small farm with a small team, and we can’t do everything. We like to put our focus on growing and producing tea and communicating with our customers. We don’t see a lot of value in just selling tea, bag after bag, with one campaign after another.
We also believe that this way we can work more Earth-friendly. Producing just as much tea as needed, instead of producing to the warehouse and then trying to sell it. Also, packaging tea into bigger packages and having a couple of bigger shipments, instead of sending small parcels every day, helps us to reduce waste.
We do sell also different pre-assembled taster sets and gift sets.
Yes, we are an officially organic-certified tea farm. Also, we believe it's worth pointing out that our plantations had been abandoned for 30 years before we started working on them, so the tea really is as organic as it gets :)
Of course! You are always welcome to visit your garden, but please let us know a bit in advance before you come ;) For a guided tour around the Estate, we will need to book a time.
