It was initially an experiment—one of many beta tests—to go beyond our own tea bushes and see what other flavours we could find in the wild Georgian mountains to share with you. The first that came to mind was a very traditional Georgian herbal tea: oxidised tea from bilberry leaves, and it quickly became a favourite for many.
After a short break (only a few years), we decided it was time to bring it back, as many of you had asked for it. And here it is again—bilberry leaf tea, full of spring flavours, harvested from the wild mountains of the Imereti region. Although collected from untouched forests, these wild leaves are not officially organic-certified, which means we couldn’t produce this tea in our own factory. So, while processed by our good friends in Chiatura, it is a renegade tea to its core.
Bilberry Beta has a dark brown, greenish-coloured liquid and a fresh, tart taste. You can feel the taste profile of blueberries, blackcurrants and hibiscus in it. Packed with nutrients and antioxidants, but without any caffeine, this herbal tea is a good choice when you are looking for something different to refresh your day.

Teas are shipped from Estonia, so there are no additional import taxes within the EU. Outside the EU, additional taxes apply depending on your country's tax rules. Local taxes and customs fees are covered by the customer.

All Renegade Tea Estate teas are grown under the Georgian sun, chemical-free and without any concentrated fertilizers. All of the harvests are done by hand- people from nearby villages plucking only the finest leaves.All of the teas we sell are produced in our own small factory by either Tomas, Hannes or Aleko, experimenting with different recipes, trying our best to bring out the greatest tastes of Georgian tea.
Our teas are EU organic certified, GE-BlO-117. The certifying agency is "CaucasCert".
